Alumni To Newbies "Impact of Science Promotion Programs"
Innovation does not happen without science and science needs investments. Central organized financial promotions lines like "Excellence Initiative" or "Horizon 2020" on German and European level became more and more significant for scientist.
On Tuesday, 5 June 2018, TUM: Junge Akademie and TUM Graduate School cordially invite their members to an exciting panel debate on the opportunities of science promotion programs and how researchers can handle them successfully in a panel debate with top researchers at Campus Garching.
Top researchers will share their personal experiences and tackle some of the essential questions:
Are the German research institutions well prepared for the global competition to deliver innovative results and binding the best talents at our universities?
How does scientist identify the best promotions lines for their research?
Our discussants are leading scientists who have gathered vast experience throughout- their careers:
- Prof. Dr. Thomas Hofmann, Senior Vice President for research and innovation and head of the Chair of Food Chemistry and Molecular Sensory Science
- Prof. Dr. Roland A. Fischer, Head of the Chair of Inorganic and Metal-Organic Chemistry and Vice President of DFG
The event will take place in an informal setting on 05.06.2018, 6.30 pm at TUM Graduate School (Boltzmannstr. 17) in Garching. Snacks and drinks will be provided. (Places are limited.)
